Hubspot Joins Angel City FC as Founding Partner
09.08.23Today, Angel City Football Club (ACFC) announced a groundbreaking partnership with HubSpot. HubSpot is trusted by over 180,000 businesses globally, and is a Founding Partner and the club's exclusive customer platform—powering everything from marketing, sales, service, and CRM. The collaboration marks HubSpot's first venture into sports sponsorship. Kicking off officially in 2024, the announcement was marked by an appearance by ACFC President and Co-Founder Julie Uhrman on the main stage of INBOUND, HubSpot’s annual conference that welcomes over 10,000 attendees to Boston.
“Angel City has always thought of itself as a startup, prioritizing partners who believe in the club’s mission and purpose,” said ACFC Co-Founder and President Julie Uhrman. “As a champion of growing businesses, HubSpot is the perfect addition to the ACFC roster—especially as we continue to push ourselves to evolve, grow and find efficiencies.”
“HubSpot is thrilled to become a Founding Partner of ACFC, a team whose values closely mirror our own,” said Yamini Rangan, CEO of HubSpot. “HubSpot has always believed in a world where more businesses can access technology to connect and grow better. We’re honored to be the platform powering ACFC as they pave the way for a new and important generation of sports entrepreneurship.”
ACFC will also have access to the HubSpot customer platform, from the engagement hubs to the Smart CRM, unlocking critical tools that will allow the ACFC to deepen its relationship with the many groups that make up the club’s growing community. By driving these deeper connections across marketing and sales efforts, HubSpot will help ACFC supercharge its already meteoric growth.
As with each sponsor of ACFC, HubSpot and ACFC will reallocate 10% of the partnership back into the community through the club's unique Angel City Sponsorship Model. In this instance, the two organizations’ collective impact will be channeled into bolstering the Player 22 Fund, fostering resources and funding opportunities for female and non-binary former soccer players as they embark on their entrepreneurial journeys. HubSpot's engagement extends beyond financial contribution, as Player 22 Fund grantees will also gain access to the HubSpot platform, allowing them to better connect with their own communities.
Additionally, ACFC and HubSpot will partner to create an engaging content series that will be featured on LinkedIn, a "Women in Sales" event, and a thought leadership dinner, adding layers of value to the collaboration beyond the conventional sponsorship model.
The partnership will also be prominently represented at ACFC's home games, with LED displays at the club's home pitch, BMO Stadium in downtown Los Angeles. As part of the agreement, HubSpot will also receive access to select player appearances, executive engagements, game day hospitality, and initiatives to bolster players' education and access to the HubSpot platform, particularly those players pursuing entrepreneurial ventures.
