Midfielder Katie Cousins signed with Angel City Football Club (ACFC) on December 9, 2021. Prior, she played with Thróttur Reykjavík of the Icelandic Úrvalsdeild Women's League.
Cousins played collegiate soccer at Tennessee, where she starred in 74 matches throughout four seasons notching 72 starts, seven goals, 13 assists, and 27 points as the primary holding midfielder. She is one of three Tennessee players to be recognized as a two-time All-American and back-to-back third-team honors from the United Soccer Coaches in 2017 and 2018. As a redshirt senior, Cousins was Second Team All-SEC, Senior CLASS Award Candidate, and named to the SEC Community Service Team, as well as First Team All-SEC during her redshirt sophomore and redshirt junior years. Cousins redshirted her sophomore year to Compete in the U.S. U-20 Women's National Team at the 2016 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Papua New Guinea. As a freshman, she was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team and earned Top Drawer Soccer Preseason Freshman Best XI. In High School, Cousins was named 2013-14 Gatorade National Girls Soccer Player of the Year and 2013 and 2014 NSCAA Youth Girls All-American.
